Month Themes:

Happiness Happens Month / Admit you’re happy,

What makes you happy? Spread out your ideas with weekly stories or posts describing why you are happy in your current reality.

Family Fun,

Are you taking vacations before the kids go back to school? What is your favorite family activity? For Businesses, think of the perspective of your work family/company culture. Maybe highlight your employees this month?

Back to School,

Do you have any big back to school sales coming up? How do you prepare for back to school?

Black Business Month,

Highlight your favorite Black owned businesses or collaborate with a Black creator or brand.

International Peace Month,

How do you spread peace? Mindset tips?

Week Themes:

Simplify your life week (1st week),

Share your favorite life hacks, morning routines, night routines etc.

National Farmer’s Market Week (1st week)

Support your local farmers market!

Prepare for Labor Day Sales (last week),

Labor Day sales and break is just around the corner - promote/create sales. Play “this or that” in stories to see what should go on sale and increase engagement.

Be Kind to Humankind Week (last week),

Do something good for someone, personally or from your business's perspective.

Celebrate how far we have come! Maybe a funny throwback would be cool - “how it started vs. how it's going”

Simple and don’t mess it up. Buy your girl some flowers, cook her dinner, plan a picnic, post an appreciation post - LET'S BE ROMANTIC HERE.

August 1: Sister’s Day,

What does your sister mean to you? Could also use a friend perspective too.

August 1: National Mountain Climbing Day

What are some of your favorite hikes you’ve completed? Bucket list mountains? What mountain are you climbing mentally?

August 3: National White Wine Day

Simple - Cheers! Maybe do a story poll - “White or Red” - host a wine tasting with your team, friends or family.

August 4: Single Working Women’s Day,

Single women are badass and deserve to be respected as so in the workplace. Who are some female singles that inspire you?

August 4: National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day,

Bring cookies into your office. Are you a milk and cookies person? What is your family's chocolate cookie recipe?

August 5: National Work Like A Dog Day,

Reflect on your hustle. Highlight an employee. Share some motivation tips that keep you going.

August 5: National Oyster Day,

Shuck it - This is a fun poll for stories. Some people either love or hate oysters, ask them with a poll.

August 9: International Day of the World's Indigenous People

Raise awareness and protect the rights of the world's indigenous population. This event also recognizes the achievements and contributions that indigenous people make to improve world issues such as environmental protection.

August 10: Lazy Day,

What is your favorite way to slack off? What are your guilty pleasures? Current binge on Netflix? Favorite social media wormhole to scroll through?

August 10: World Lion Day,

What does a lion represent to you?

August 10: Vlogging Day,

Vlog it out baby! Put together a day in your life compilation and post - reels + tiktok for sure.

August 10: National S’mores Day

Speaks for itself. This would be really cool as a food/refreshment company. What is your take on the traditional S’more?

August 11: Play in the Sand Day,

Get out and get your toes sandy! If you don’t live near a beach - maybe share some throwbacks of sandier times.

August 11: Son and Daughter Day,

Special shoutout to your son or daughter. This is a great day for family owned and operated businesses.

August 12: International Youth Day,

Draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. What are some awesome initiatives or organizations surrounding youth in your community?

August 13: Left Handers Day,

Easy one to highlight the corky left-handers in your office/on your team. They deserve love too.

August 13: Friday the 13th

Keep this fun - share some irrational fears you have or your team has.

August 14: Garage Sale Day

Showcase your favorite garage sale finds or give tips on digging through people’s junk for treasures!

August 15: National Relaxation Day,

How do you unwind? Share your favorite slow down methods - breathwork, exercise, etc.

August 17: Thrift Shop Day,

Showcase your favorite thrift store finds or give tips for treasures!

August 18: Never Give Up Day,

Motivation tips - share what keeps you going.

August 19: Photography Day,

For product based business - share your top photoshoots you’ve done or give product photography tips. For service providers, especially those which involve photography - share BTS, what's in my camera bag, how to shoot (insert idea here) etc.

August 20: National Potato Day

Everyone likes potatoes - share your favorite dishes. Potato memes would also be appropriate.

August 21: Poet’s Day,

Share your favorite poem that evokes emotion for you. Write a poem about your brand.

August 26: Women’s Equality Day,

Commemorate the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment (Amendment XIX) to the United States Constitution, which prohibits the states and the federal government from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of sex. Celebrate your women!

August 26: Webmistress Day,

Celebrate women in tech/marketing! A Webmistress is a woman who designs, develops, markets and maintains websites. The term has existed since the mid-1990s.

August 28: Red Wine Day

Again - Cheers! Maybe do a story poll - “White or Red” - host a wine tasting with your team, friends or family.

August 30: National Beach Day,

Get out and get your toes sandy! If you don’t live near a beach - maybe share some throwbacks of sandier times. Or get involved with saving marine life/oceans - share organizations, partake or host a beach clean up, share sustainable tips to reduce plastic use, etc.

August 31: National Eat Outside Day,

Take your lunch outside, grab a happy hour outside, share your local patio hot spots or favorite spots to grab a bite outside. Host a team picnic - have a picnic yourself. The point is to get food and eat it outside.
